Most Architects Miss This (And Most Business Owners Do Too)

You know what most people skip when they're building something, whether it's a house or a business? They skip the part where they actually understand what they're working with. The best architects don't just design beautiful spaces. They take time to understand the land. The existing trees. The natural flow of the site. They build with it, not over it. During the construction of the Cas, not a single old tree was cut down. That's a choice. A deliberate one. And honestly, it hit me because it's exactly how I think about growing a business. You don't come in and wipe the slate clean just because you're excited to build something new. You look at what's already there. You figure out what's working. Then you build around it. Most people don't do this. They're so focused on the new thing that they accidentally destroy the good thing they already had. Take the time to understand your foundation. That's where the real work starts. P.S. What's one thing in your business you've been building around instead of over?
