AI vs Creativity: The Shocking Truth About GPTs!

I had writer's block for the first time in years. I was on a flight to the UK with no WiFi, planning to write my monthly blog content using my personalized GPT. When I couldn't access AI, I froze. It took me an hour just to get back into creative flow. That's when it hit me: I was becoming creatively dependent on AI. Here's the scary truth: Creativity is a muscle. If you don't use it, you lose it. I see business leaders making this mistake everywhere: Letting AI generate all their ideas Never brainstorming without assistance Relying on prompts for every creative decision Result? Creative atrophy. Don't get me wrong — AI is a powerful creative partner. But it should amplify your ideas, not replace your thinking. My new rule: 20% analog, 80% AI-enhanced. I still brainstorm ideas by hand first I write initial concepts without AI input I challenge myself to solve problems creatively before asking for help Then I use AI to refine, expand, and execute those ideas at scale. Think of AI like a GPS. It's incredibly helpful, but if you never navigate without it, you lose your sense of direction. Your creativity is what makes you irreplaceable. Don't outsource it entirely to a machine. Use AI as your creative amplifier, not your creative replacement. Have you noticed creative dependency creeping in? How do you maintain your creative edge? #AICreativity #CreativeThinking #BusinessStrategy #Innovation #Leadership #AIDepencency
